===== MultiMC =====
MultiMC is currently the recommended launcher for installing mods on legacy Minecraft. [[https://multimc.org/#Download|Download]]
  * Many separate instances can easily be created for almost any version.
  * Mods and their install order can be adjusted with no class dragging required.
  * Logs for both MC and mods are easy to find and feature one click upload for debugging.

Notes:
  * Does not completely override minecraft directory, so some mods will still look in .minecraft for config/resources.
===== PyMCL =====
PyMCL is a new launcher that allows you to install legacy modpacks automatically. [[https://github.com/modificationstation/PyMCL/releases|Download]]
Currently available packs include AetherMP, Technic Pack, AdventureCraft and more.

Notes:
  * Relatively unstable compared to MultiMC.
